D.C. Office of Zoning
KGI has enjoyed an ongoing relationship with the D.C. Office of Zoning for the last many years. We engineered the audiovisual capabilities in their hearing room and main conference room several years ago and have been supporting and upgrading their audiovisual capabilities ever since.
The D.C Zoning project had some unique requirements. Due to the fact that they hold hearings that are open to the public, one of their requirements was to be able to capture and stream live video from multiple sources in real time with the ability to control the recording live and add captioning on the fly . Through the combination enterprise audiovisual and information technology we designed a solution to fit their needs that has been operational for over 5 years.

U.S. Marine Corps
Karcher Group has deigned several enterprise grade ruggedized audiovisual solutions for various branches of the United States Armed Forces. The the below are two of our offerings designed and deployed for the use of the United States Marine Corps. The Combat Imagery Searchable Archive Database (CISAD) is a ruggedized, self contained version of our digital media management offering which breaks down in to 3 modular creates for easy transport and set up. It has the capability to capture, ingest, convert, catalog, maintain, protect and transmit media.
Along with engineering CISAD, Karcher Group contributed similar technology to a larger USMC audiovisual implementation called TIPS. The Tactical Imagery Production System, TIPS, is a highly mobile, rapidly deployable, self-contained tactical shelter system with imagery and reproduction capability to be utilized in forward operational areas. This system provides commanders with a multitude of imagery products that are utilized in planning, intelligence, enhancing situational awareness, shaping the battle space and influencing local populations and adversaries. The standalone system includes an onboard generator, environmental control system, Inmarsat, and a turn-key suite of electronics.

SureScripts
SureScripts is a commercial organization that we completed a few conference rooms for. Like many companies these days, one of SureScripts requirements for their conference room buildout was the ability to conduct high definition video conferences. Karcher Group has been a premier Tandberg partner for many years and is currently a premier Cisco partner since the acquisition. For the SureScripts impelmentation we integrated Tandberg C60 codecs in to the conference room design to meet this requirement.
Karcher Group has certified technology specialists to design, install, implement and train you on video conferencing iplementations of any size. From enterprise solutions requiring infrastructure solutions and network management to single end point installs. The Karcher Group employs experianced VTC integrators with implementations under their belts ranging from a single end point to enterprise infrastructure.
Childrens Hospital
Our Childrens Hospital project was like many institutional audiovisual jobs we take on in that they had a lot of technical and functional requirements which in effect required many different components to accomplish the task. Although these bigger projects require more components and have more functionallity to control, they still want the control of their system to be as simple and streamlined as possible.
Karcher Group has two full time control system developers on staff who carefully consider work flow and functionallity needs before designing a single custom touch planel interface to control all of the components that make up the overall solution. The screenshot below is an image of the custom touch panel design we created for Childrens Hospital to control their video teleconference, teleconference, lighting, control, audio, and video systems all from one place.

Langley AFB Public Affairs
Langley Air Force base utilizes Harmony, our digital media management solution, to catalog and maintain their digital pictures, videos, graphics and articles. Langley also had a technical requirement to dynamically pull content from their media database and present it to the world via a web portal. Though we're experts in media management, the Langley implementation presented special challenges due to the tight network security and software restrictions in their data center.
Karcher Group employs ex-military personnel who understand the complexities of how military projects get completed. Through collaborative effort with administrators within Langley AFB we were able to meet Langley's security requirements and overcome the challenges they presented. Karcher Group created a custom web portal that met the requirements of the project which gave users the capability to search for an image via keywords tagged in an assets metadata, view the results and download the media right there from the website.
